View looking southeast from the top of Nebi Samwil towards Jerusalem—see the descriptive image below. On this clear day we could see the golden dome of the Dome of the Rock—on the skyline right of center.
It is interesting that since the Second Temple—the Temple of the NT era— was 50% higher than the current Dome of the Rock, that it would have been visible from this vantage point as well.
