View of the eastern most of one of the elite (priestly?) houses that are presented in the Wohl Museum.

The model, under glass, is situated in the courtyard of the house.  In the lower right the arch is over one of the ritual baths located in the lowest level of the house.  Because in a nearby "burnt house"—a stone weight that bears the name of a priestly family, "Kathros," engraved on it was found many believe that Jewish priests lived in these houses.  The significant number of ritual baths found in these houses agrees with this interpretation.

In fact, some have proposed that this house may be that of one of the High Priests—one scholar even suggesting that this may be the house of Caiaphas!  If so, Jesus would have been in the house while appearing before Caiaphas (Mat 26:57; John 18:24, 28, etc.)!?!
