View of the Greek inscription on the rim of a bronze hydra found at Nemea.  It reads: “I belong to Zeus at Nemea.”  Evidently the inscription was added after the hydria was manufactured.

This bronze hydria was found in a well.  It dates to about 510 B.C.  A hydria was used for carrying and storing water.
