Grinders

Three household grinders are visible on the left side of the image while a low dish is visible on the right side.

The grinder nearest the center:  grain would be placed in the hollow portion of this basalt saddle grinder, and another stone (missing) would be moved back and forth in a rocking motion.

To the left of this grinder are two smaller, but more elaborate models with the grinding “pestles” visible in each.
