Roman Road 3

Roman Road 3

View of a remnant of the Roman Road, 12.5 mi. [20 km.] north of Tarsus, which led from Tarsus to the Cilician Gates. Looking north. Notice the road turning to the right as it follows the crests of the hills as it heads toward the Cilician Gates in the Taurus mountains, km. distant.

Paul probably would have traveled on this road on his second and third journeys as he walked inland (north northwest) from Tarsus into the high plateau of Anatolia.
