Eros on a Dolphin A small bronze figure of Eros riding a Dolphin that was found in one of the Terrace Houses at Ephesus.  It dates to the second century BC.

Eros was the god of love and sex, and was considered to be a son of Aphrodite.  His Roman counterpart was Cupid.

Compare the statue of Aphrodite with Eros at her feet riding a dolphin found at Perga.
