Pool (western)

View looking southeast at the western most of the two pools. Note the stairs that descend into the pool, the retaining wall, and the algae filled water. The water from the pools, and mud, were used in treatments at the Asclepion.

The "crack/hole" in the upper right of the image, just beyond the black fence, is where a spring was located.

The Pool was build in Roman times—probably during the reign of Hadrian (A.D. 117–138).
