View of the Roman Bridge at Cendere.  The bridge is 387 ft. [118 m.] long and was built between A.D. 198 and 200 by the XVI Roman legion that was stationed in the area at the request of the cities in the area in order to honor the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus (A.D. 193–211).

Originally there were four pillars, two at each end of the bridge.  Only three survive.

 In modern times the bridge collapsed, and the current structure is a modern rebuild (more in the Turkish style).
