Ostia Commercial Structures

Ostia Commercial Structures

This "Section" includes examples of Commercial Structures including Fast Food Shops, Apartment Buildings, and Grain Storage Facilities.

Ostia was the port of Rome during the Imperial Period—especially the first and second centuries A.D.  It was located on the Tiber River, that also passes through Rome, about 19 miles southwest of Rome.  Because of silting, today it is about 2 miles from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
