A statue of Saint Bernard along the road into Tre Fontane.  St. Bernard, a Cistercian saint is believed to have stayed here during his visit to Rome in 1138–40.

The first three lines of the Latin inscription below the statue reads:  Hearken, my son!/Unhesitating obedience!/Pray and Work!
