Pool Tower 2

Pool Tower 2

View looking west at the foundations of the “Pool Tower.”  Some of the stones used in the construction of the tower were 6 ft. long and 3 ft. high and 3 ft. wide [2 x 1 x 1m.].

Note the rock scarp in the foreground, on top of which the tower was built.  Behind the stones of the tower is an artist’s painted reconstruction of what the superstructure of the tower might have looked like— even the ladder is “fake.”

On the left (south) side of the image note the door.  This is where the “diagonal tunnel” exits to the pool.  The pool itself, not visible, is in the area on the far left side of the image.
