Camps V and VI

Camps V and VI

View looking down and southeast from the top of Masada.  On the left side of the image, the outline of the Roman Camp V is clearly visible, and in the center, that of the large camp VI.  On the far right are a reconstructed camp and the cable car station and the Masada Museum.

The blue visible in the top of the image is the Dead Sea—which is 1310 ft. [400 m.] lower than the top surface of Masada.
