View of two of the three niches that are situated just east of the niche of the cave of Pan .
In the image note the upper grey area and the lower reddish area. Up until the archaeological excavations of this area in the 1990’s the light colored reddish area was covered by dirt while the grey area was exposed to the elements for several thousand years!
