Note in the center of the image, hanging from the shelf the black animal skin. This is a cleaned-out skin of a sheep or goat. The openings were tied up and these skins could be used to carry water or filled with milk, hung from a tripod, and moved back and forth — as a churn — to produce yogurt or something close to butter.

On the shelf, note the jars, broom, and wicker basket. On the floor (left to right) a sieve and rope.
