View of a portion of the kitchen area of a reconstructed house at Katzrin. On the right side of the image note the small covered bowl that sits atop a stove. The fire to heat the pot was confined to the conical-shaped stove on which it sits. Probably brush, small twigs, and dug were used as fuel. Covering the stove and pot (upper right side of the image) is the chimney that carried the smoke upward and out of the building.

On the left side of the image, note in the back the water storage jar, the wicker basket, the basalt grinder (with reconstructed handle), and the sieve behind it.
