View of the mosaic in the Mary Magdalene Chapel in Duc in Altum.  The mosaic features Jesus reaching out to Mary having cast out the seven demons (see the tree in the enlarged image).  Note the finger of Jesus, echoing "creation" on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, sharing with Mary the "new birth."  Even the dog cringes at the sight of the demons.

Mark 16:9  When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons.
